4. The next vocal training course I recommend is Singorama. I know what you're thinking.. What's up with that name? It's a little corny, but catchy, isn't it? Turns out it's also regarded as the ultimate vocal training course available.

Singorama is brought to you by the developers of the best-selling Jamorama Guitar Course and they have done it again here. The reviews for this course have been nothing short of amazing. Click here to see what I'm talking about.

Now For The Comparison!

The most inexpensive way to get your feet wet in vocal lessons is to buy "You Can Sing" (Booklet/CD) and/or "Singing For The Stars"(Booklet/2CD's). "You Can Sing" is slightly less expensive than "Singing For the Stars" but it still provides you with a solid foundation to build your voice upon. "Singing For The Stars" uses a different approach which is better for your vocal health and provides more exercises aimed at increasing your range while perfecting your technique. My recommendation is you can't go wrong with either one, but "Singing For The Stars" would be my choice because, although slightly more expensive, it is a more complete course.

The biggest difference between both of the following high quality programs is that while "American Idol Singer's Advantage" costs $49.99 USD, "Singorama" costs $99.99USD. Reviews for both have been excellent with Singorama consistently receiving slightly better reviews because of more features. I guess the old adage "you get what you pay for" holds true here.

But that doesn't mean the American Idol Singer's Advantage doesn't have everything you need for great vocal conditioning because the vocal approach used by Seth Riggs is considered by many to be the best.

Bottom line is you need to compare both and make your own determination according to your needs.

In my opinion, they're both outstanding and while I'm a little partial and thankful to Seth Riggs I can see how valuable Singorama can be to any vocalist.

Even the greatest singers in the world need a vocal training coach to keep their vocals in shape and to learn new techniques. Vocal training can increase your range, improve your vocal tone, save your voice from abuse, and help you consistently stay on pitch.

Seth Riggs has been the vocal coach to some of the greatest singing stars of all-time such as Stevie Wonder, Natalie Cole, Michael Jackson, Geoffrey Osborne, James Ingram, and Anita Baker among many others. Please Bookmark This Site

Before I got signed to Warner/Chappell as a staff songwriter I couldn't afford real vocal lessons so I studied Jerald Stone's "You Can Sing" and Seth Riggs's previous book course called "Singing For The Stars". Seth Riggs, without a doubt, is one of the biggest reasons for my success. With American Idol Singer's Advantage he's taken his course many steps further to create the ultimate vocal training course. It's like having Seth next to you giving you personalized attention.

Here is free tip to learn to sing as well as vocal conditioning:

1. Practice singing scales by playing 8 to 9 notes at a time on your guitar or piano in different sequences and imitating those notes with your voice while using good body posture.

These warm up/vocal exercises can improve your voice but unlike teaching yourself any other instrument you probably need some type of vocal coaching whether through an actual teacher or book/lesson courses. This is because vocal chords, as strong as they appear to be, are very delicate instruments. You definitely want to learn to sing the correct way so you don't damage them.

My first choice would be actual lessons from a live vocal coach.

My second choice would be to do it the cheap, effective way, by taking book/lesson courses.

The most inexpensive way is through the following courses.

1.

3. Right now, American Idol Singer's Advantage is the hottest voice training course and it comes in a female and male version.

"You Can Sing" by Jerald Stone was the first course I purchased and it provided me with all the basics of breath control, posture, how to belt out notes without hurting your voice, and how to correctly sing falsetto.

It also contains a great vocal warm-up recording that you can sing along to and really strengthen your voice. This booklet comes with a CD.

2.

"Singing For The Stars" by Seth Riggs is a booklet training course with 2 CD's that teaches speech level singing. The theory is you don't need to exert excessive strain on your vocal chords because singing should be as easy as using your speaking voice albeit in a different way.

Many vocal coaches around the globe have adopted Seth Riggs's method of speech level singing. Outstanding, complete course!
